METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ADAPTIVELY COMPENSATING RESONANCE IN SYSTEM AND DISK DRIVE USING THE SAME

An apparatus and a method for compensating the resonance of an adaptive system and a disc drive using the same are provided to store information about frequency components exerting a bad influence on servo control according to systems, and suppress a harmful frequency component by using the information under a user environment. Frequency components which affect servo control outputs according to disc drives/heads are detected and stored in a non-volatile memory device in a burn-in test process. A frequency component corresponding to a selected head is read out from the non-volatile memory device whenever power is supplied to the disc drive under a user environment, and parameter values of a filter used for a servo control circuit of the disc drive are determined such that the read frequency component is suppressed.
