<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club which has a head of a simple structure and can reduce the amount of the backspin when a ball is shot as well as increase the carry of the ball. <P>SOLUTION: This golf club has a shaft 5, and the head 7 of a hollow structure which is set and fixed to one end of the shaft 5 at a specified lie angle and a specified loft angle to the reference horizontal plane P. The head 7 has a face section 7a for hitting the ball, and a sole section 7c which touches the reference horizontal plane P.
