PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress consumption power in a flushing operation. SOLUTION: This liquid jet device has a liquid jet head, a drive signal generation section, and a signal applying section. The liquid jet head includes a plurality of elements for operating to eject a liquid by charging and discharging which are divided into a plurality of groups. The drive signal generation section repeatedly generates a drive signal for the flushing operation having in a prescribed term a plurality of waveform sections each being in a voltage change pattern for driving the element to eject the liquid by making a prescribed term to be a repeating unit. The signal applying section applies the waveform section in the prescribed term to the plurality of elements in the prescribed group to allow the elements to perform the flushing operation and the other waveform section in the other term to the plurality of elements in the other group to allow the elements to perform the flushing operation.
