PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface display device unit capable of suppressing the generation of dust from the end face of a surface display device, and even when dust is generated, evading adhesion of dust to the display surface side of the surface display device by adsorbing the dust to a surplus part of a double coated adhesive tape or an adhesive, which is other than a part stuck to the surface display device. SOLUTION: The surface display device unit comprises the surface display device 103 for displaying characters and images, a fixing board 101 for fixing the surface display device 103, and front case 104 and a rear case 106 for holding the surface display device 103 and the fixing board 101 between them and is characterized so that the fixing board 101 is larger than the surface display device 103. The surface display device 103 is fixed on the fixing board 101 by a double coated adhesive tape 102, and the double coated adhesive tape 102 has the surplus part 112 other than the part stuck to the surface display device 103.
