PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable even two radio communication apparatuses to acquire position information without interposing a server. SOLUTION: The radio communication apparatus comprises a directional variable antenna 2 for performing radio communication with an opposite-side apparatus and a control unit 8 which measures the distance to the opposite-side apparatus, calculates a position by measuring an azimuth of the opposite-side apparatus while switching the directivity of radio waves of radio communication due to the directional variable antenna 2 using a MEMS switch 27 and controls an output of the directional variable antenna 2 in accordance with the calculated position of the opposite-side apparatus.
