The invention relates to a method and to a device for producing pure water. Said device is preferably transportable and is suitable for connecting to a water faucet of a household water supply, in which untreated water is heated to an evaporation temperature. Heating can be conducted by distributing the untreated water in various pressure steps. With the exception of the highest pressure step, vapour coming from a previous step at a higher pressure is used as a heat transfer medium for vapourising the untreated water in a subsequent, lower pressure step. Alternatively, the thus produced vapour can be compressed and the compressed vapour can be used to heat and vapourise the untreated water. Also, heating for vapourising and condensing the thus produced vapour can be carried out by means of a heat transfer medium flowing in the circuit, according to a heat pumping process. |
