PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve accuracy of various kinds of processing with a position of a correlation destination area as input. SOLUTION: A matching processing part 2 specifies one of a plurality of prescribed correlation destination candidates as the correlation destination area based on a correlation value showing a degree of correlation with a correlation source area calculated for each of the candidates. In a prescribed coordinate system, the position of the correlation destination area is calculated in an integer level. An interpolation processing part 3 calculates the position of the correlation destination area in a decimal level by interpolation of the correlation value between the correlation destination area and the correlation destination candidate adjacent to the correlation destination area. A reliability evaluation part 4 estimates an error width E2 of the position of the correlation destination area based on a change amount of the correlation value between the correlation destination area and the adjacent correlation destination candidate, and an error width E1 of the correlation value. The reliability evaluation part 4 evaluates reliability related the position of the correlation destination area specified to the decimal level on the basis of the estimated error width.
