The device (1) has two columns (3) arranged at a distance from each other, and a bridge (2) arranged horizontally between the columns. A bending beam (8) or a tie rod is provided longitudinally above the bridge, and a force-fitting connection is provided between the bridge and the bending beam or between the bridge and the tie rod, where the tie-rod is designed as a traction rope. The bending beam or the tie rod is supported at both ends or proximate to the ends of the columns and/or the bridge such that pre-stressing, approximately compensating weight of the bridge, is developed.
