A portable electronic device and a camera are provided to configure a large-sized display screen at the first body without expanding the total size by forming operation buttons and a grip part at the second body without a display screen. A portable electronic device comprises the first body(100), the second body(200), and a door unit. The first body(100) has a display screen(120). The second body(200) is combined with the first body(100) for operating a sliding motion for the first body. The door unit, installed between the first body(100) and the second body(200), opens or closes a battery mounting part. The door unit is exposed or concealed along the sliding direction of the second body(200) for the first body(100). The battery mounting part and the door unit, combined to the first body, make a sliding motion together with the first body(100). The door unit is partially concealed by the second body(200) when the first body(100) and the second body(200) makes a sliding motion. |
