SOLUTION: The right of use of a content holder server 6 is provided to a license server 4. The right of use provided from the content holder server 6 is divided into a right of use only for reproduction and a right of use including reproduction and checkout. The client 1 acquires the right of use for reproduction by paying ¥10. The client 1 acquires the right of use including reproduction and checkout by further paying ¥30. That is, the right of use only for reproduction is upgraded to the right of use including reproduction and checkout. This constitution is applicable to a server for providing contents through a network.
