PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver capable of easily setting view restriction of a currently broadcasted program or restriction of selecting the channel broadcasting the program in a short time. SOLUTION: The receiver is provided with a tuner 12 for receiving a broadcast signal Sb, and a control unit 24 for controlling the switching of a channel of the broadcast signal Sb to be received by the tuner 12. When a predetermined operation is performed after switching the channel, the control unit 24 executes view restriction setting processing in which a program having been broadcasted on the channel selected just before the switching is set, as a target of view restriction.
