<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of enhancing improvement in detecting precision when a toner patch formed according to need such as image stabilizing control is detected. <P>SOLUTION: The toner patch is formed on a surface of an intermediate transfer belt, light is radiated to the formed toner patch, reflected light is detected and an image forming condition is controlled according to the detected results in a printer. Before the toner patch is formed in the printer, positions P0 to P9 made by dividing one turn of a belt into ten parts as toner patch formation predicted positions have each position irradiated with specified light quantity X and reflectivities R0 to R9 thereof are sampled. From that results, compensating coefficients C0 to C9 which are inverse numbers of the reflectivities R0 to R9 for each position are derived. Values L0 to L9 which are derived by multiplying compensating coefficients C0 to C9 by the specified light quantity X are determined as light emitting quantity when toner patches are formed in each position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
