<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which corrects a flicker occurring in photographing of a still picture while photographing an animation by a small-scale circuit constitution. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of photographing the moving picture simultaneously while photographing the animation, photographing is performed after changing an exposure time to that for photographing the still picture. First, with a picture signal obtained by photographing (FL2) before changing the exposure time as reference, a correction gain to the picture signal of a frame (FL3) just after changing is calculated by each horizontal line, and the picture signal of the frame (FL3) is flicker-corrected.
