<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock-cushion single air cylinder, and a tape feeder employing it. <P>SOLUTION: The single cylinder is constituted as an airtight chamber where the interior of a rod side cylinder chamber 47 is intercepted from the outer air by enclosing the rod side high pressure air supply pipe (deflation opening 51 of the single cylinder) of a double acting cylinder. As compared with the profile of a regular single cylinder, a spiral spring for returning an elongated rod 28 back to regression state is removed from the rod side cylinder chamber 47. When a solenoid valve leading to a high pressure air supply port on the component mounting device side opens for a predetermined time, high pressure air is supplied to a cylinder chamber 46 on the side opposite to the rod through a high pressure air introduction pipe 43 and a piston 44 begins to move quickly to the stroke end, where the air pressure in the airtight chamber (cylinder chamber 47) rises and the piston 44 stops because its speed goes zero due to resistance of compressed air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
