<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte and a battery with battery characteristics improved even at a high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: In a separator 23, an electrolyte solution as a liquid electrolyte is impregnated. The electrolyte solution contains a solvent and an electrolyte salt. The solvent contains cyclic phoshonic acid ester as shown in a formula. In the formula, R1 denotes an alkylene group or the like with the carbon number of 3 to 12. R2 denotes an alkyl group or the like. By this, the decomposition reaction of the electrolyte solution can be restrained even in a high-temperature environment, and excellent characteristics can be obtained even if it is left alone in the high-temperature environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
