PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate evasion of abnormality such as an activation fault, relating to the activation control of a computer device to which an external device such as a USB device is connected. SOLUTION: For the computer device (2) to which the external device such as the USB devices (41--43) is connected, the identification and connectivity of the external device are monitored upon activation, the device information of the external device is fetched when the external device is recognized as a failure device, activation is performed excluding the failure device in the activation of the next time, and thus the abnormality such as the activation fault is evaded.
