PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microchemical device with which a large number of specimens composed of lymphocyte, other cells, etc., are independently and easily retained one by one, chemical liquids such as reagent, reaction solution, etc., are supplied to each retained specimen, a desired examination is surely performed and chemical liquids are easily changed. SOLUTION: The microchemical device has a constitution that the retention area 4 of the specimen S is arranged on the surface of a base plate 1 made of a synthetic resin and in a chemical liquid injection area 3 with its circumference enclosed with a weir rib 2; a plurality of independent projections 5 are integrally formed by a repeating pattern on the retention area; a unit retention part H for retaining only one specimen is formed by connection of a plurality of adjacent projections; a space between the projections is used as a flow channel 6 and the height of the weir rib is set at the height of the projections or above.
