PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary-electric machine that reduces deterioration in characteristics to the stress of a stator, can restrain an electrical loss low, and has superior electric efficiency, and to provide a method for manufacturing the rotary-electric machine. SOLUTION: A recess 20 is formed at a place including a circumferential center position 104 between teeth 103 at the outer periphery surface side of the stator 101. A frame joining section 22 provided at the inner-periphery surface side of a frame 102, and a stator joining section 21 that is provided at the outer-periphery surface side of the stator 101 and is joined to the frame joining section 22 are provided at positions, where a circumferential interval becomes 1/2 or smaller of a prescribed interval H1 while sandwiching the circumferential recess 20 between the teeth 103. Stress X operates so that the recess 20 of the stator 101 is sandwiched between the teeth 103 circumferentially by the stator joining section 21 and the frame joining section 22.
