The fodder production method uses green fodder provided via a harvesting machine (1) and fed to an associated conveyor device (7), provided with a detection path (16) for detecting foreign bodies which can be removed from the fodder stream without interruption of the fodder production process. The detection path may have a number of detectors (17,18,19) linked to a microprocessor evaluation unit (20) controlling the removal of detected foreign bodies. An Independent claim for a harvesting machine in combination with a transverse conveyor is also included. |
