PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, at low cost, a floor plate, particularly, a floor plate for floor heating excellent in surface smoothness, surface hardness, and dimensional stability, extremely less in warpage, twist, and gaps between adjacent floor plates after installation, excellent in adhesiveness between itself and a base and working efficiency during the installation, improved in aesthetic appearance since nail heads can be concealed during the installation, and excellent in quality control and working efficiency in manufacturing steps. SOLUTION: A surface material made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin sheet is stuck on the surface of a wooden base material. A ridge part 6 and a groove part 7 fitted onto the ridge part are formed in the side surfaces of the wooden base material 4 facing each other. The height dimension of the ridge part on the upper surface side is larger than that on the lower surface side.
