<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow release of a brake state surely by input operation regardless of ability of a motor shaft to rotate, and to allow setting of balance between an operating force and an operating amount for the release of the brake state, in a disc brake for a vehicle having a motion converting mechanism interposed between a brake piston and a reduction gear so as to convert rotating power into an actuating force in an axial direction of the brake piston. <P>SOLUTION: The reduction gear 32 includes: an eccentric rotor 56 rotated together with the motor shaft 55; an external gear 57 journaled to an outer periphery of the eccentric rotor 56; an internal gear 58 meshed with the external gear 57; an output member 59 connected with the motion converting mechanism 33; and an Oldham's mechanism 60 disposed between the external gear 57 and the output member 59. A cylindrical worm 71 meshed with a plurality of teeth 70 disposed to an outer periphery of the inner gear 58 is rotatably supported by a reduction gear case 34, an engagement part which can engage a fixture to rotate the cylinder worm 71 is disposed to the cylindrical worm 71. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
