PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an article coated with a layer which can be coated in good adhesive properties without generating wrinkles when an adherend is coated and has an ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin and the coated article obtained by the method. SOLUTION: A multilayer laminate having at least one layer obtained by molding a raw material resin containing the ultra-high molecular weight polyolefin having a limiting viscosity measured by a decalin solution of 135°C of at least 5 dl/g is irradiated with radiation under conditions to make the gel fraction of the layer 50-95 mass% to be coated on the adherend.
