PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head in which a deposition rate of a plating film is stabilized, variation of forming accuracy of magnetic poles is suppressed, a magnetic pole being excellent in a soft magnetic property is formed, and high density recording can be performed, when a magnetic film is formed by plating and a magnetic pole is formed. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the magnetic head in which a pole of a write-head is formed by forming a magnetic film 26 by electrolytic plating making a plating seed layer 22 made of Ru as a plating feeding layer, the method is provided with a process in which after the plating seed layer 22 made of Ru is formed, a cap layer 30 stabilizing a deposition rate of a plating film on the surface of the plating seed layer 22, and a process in which the magnetic film is formed making the plating seed layer 22 and the cap layer 30 as a plating feeding layer.
