PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of reducing the time loss in image data shift processing, and to provide an image processing method. SOLUTION: The constitution that a memory 1, a CPU 2 and a shift module 3 are connected via a data bus is turned to the entire constitution. The shift module 3 is constituted of a DMAC 6 and a white pixel addition part 11. The DMAC 6 specifies the address (address B) of a region, including an effective image and sets a start address. In the white pixel addition part 11, white pixels are added. The effective image 5 is led by the DMAC 6. Since data are led from the address B of the image desired to be shifted, the need for leading the images as a whole from the memory is eliminated, and the time for reading and abandoning the data for shift is not required.
