PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving lens mechanism with a movable diaphragm, the mechanism being capable of moving a zoom drive mechanism to a suitable position. SOLUTION: The moving lens mechanism includes a plurality of movable lens groups, and has between the movable lens groups the movable diaphragm, which is movable in the direction of the optical axis. The diaphragm is formed from a diaphragm plate 303 having a through-hole made in the center. The movable diaphragm is slidably mounted in the movable lens barrel 271 in front of the diaphragm plate 303 or the movable lens barrel behind the diaphragm plate 303 so that the movable diaphragm is pressed away from the movable lens 281 group in the movable lens barrel 271 by means of an elastic body 321 disposed on the periphery of the movable lens barrel 271.
