PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warp knitted fabric for sportswear having quick-drying in water absorption, soft feeling, warm feeling and the like and anti-pilling and anti-snagging properties not only on the front surface but on the rear surface; and a method for efficiently and inexpensively producing the warp knitted fabric. SOLUTION: In the warp knitted fabric for sportswear, a front and/or a middle sections are knitted using a synthetic filament false twisted yarn (A) having 56-110 dtex total fineness and 0.8-2.7 dtex monofilament fineness, and a back section is knitted using a polyester spun yarn (B) composed of a polyester copolymerized with 0.5-1.5 mol% phosphoric acid as an acid component.
