PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for controlling disease and insect pest by coating plants with an agrochemical component. SOLUTION: The method for controlling disease and insect pest comprises coating plants with at least one or more kinds of agrochemical components with the proviso that a combination of (RS)-1-methyl-2-nitro-3-(tetrahydro-3-furylmethyl)guanidine granule water-soluble chemical and 1,2-bis(3-methoxycarbonyl-2-thioureido)benzene paste is omitted.
