<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seal ring free from sealing performance degradation even when irregularities or damages exist on the surface of at least one of two members which contact the seal ring. <P>SOLUTION: The seal ring formed of an elastic material is provided for sealing a gap between the two members. It comprises annular seal protrusions provided on both sides of the face of the seal ring which contacts at least one member.
