PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling fan used for circulation of air in a room, capable of increase wind speed and wind quantity and of sending air in a wide range during operation, and capable of reducing load of a joining part of blade plates and of improving appearance during operation stop. SOLUTION: The ceiling fan provided with the plurality of blade plates 8 fixed on a rotor 5 and sending air with rotating the blade plates 8, can increase wind speed and wind quantity and of sending air in the wide range during operation since an outer diameter of the blade plate 8 is constructed to increase during operation of the ceiling fan, can reduce load of the joining part of the blade plates and of improving appearance during operation stop.
