PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost fixing device with lower energy consumption by solving the above-mentioned problem in a mechanism for sticking a pressurization member to a heating member by pressure and releasing sticking by pressure. SOLUTION: The fixing device has a driving means for driving the heating member and the pressurization member at a separated state and a switching means for switching the heating member and the pressurization member driven by the driving means to a pressure sticking state and a separation state, wherein the driving means absorbs stress generated when the heating member contacts the pressurization member by driving either of the heating member or the pressurization member via a torque limiter.
