PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser module with which a high output can be obtained and in which the overall size can be reduced. SOLUTION: In the prior art, light emitted from each of a plurality of light sources is converted once into parallel light by a collimator lens, with the parallel light converged by a condensing lens and made incident on an optical fiber. In one embodiment, by properly setting a space between the optical axis J2 (center axis of emission) of the light sources 12 and the optical axis J3 (center axis) of a lens 22, the lens 22 can be substituted for the collimator lens and the condensing lens conventionally required for a laser module. Accordingly, the laser module 1 can reduce the number of components compared with a conventional optical system. Also, the laser module 1 can be miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
