PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for kneading raw fine powder which is suitable for pelletizing an iron ore raw material composed mainly of fine powder and by which pellets having desired grain size distribution can be produced and also the yield of the pellets can be more improved than heretofore. SOLUTION: In this method, an iron ore raw material containing particles of≤250μm particle size in an amount of≥60 mass% is kneaded to form kneaded materials of 3 to 7 mm average grain size and the kneaded materials are introduced into a drum mixer 11 so as to be formed into pellets. As a result, the pellets having the desired grain size can be produced and also the yield of the pellets having the desired grain size distribution can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
