PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide continuous hot dip galvanizing-heat treating equipment for a steel strip and continuous heat treating equipment for a steel strip where, e.g., regarding continuous hot dip galvanizing-heat treating equipment for a steel strip or equipment for performing continuous heat treatment at the poststage of continuous annealing equipment for a steel strip, in the case a plurality of heat holding zones are arranged, the increase of a load on equipment cost and the increase of an installing space accompanying the installation of temperature controllers for the heat holding zones can be suppressed. SOLUTION: For example, regarding continuous hot dip galvanizing-heat treating equipment where a primary heating zone 5, a primary heat holding zone 6, and a primary cooling zones 7, 8 having functions of performing alloying and/or quenching treatment after hot dip galvanizing to a steel strip 1 are arranged, and, a secondary heating zone 9, a secondary heat holding zone 10, and a secondary cooling zone 11 having functions of performing tempering treatment are arranged after the primary cooling zones, a temperature controller 20 for the primary heat holding zone 6 and the secondary heat holding zone 10 is arranged so as to be used in common and to be changeably usable.
