<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system capable of performing the scheduled operation of a power generation means appropriately. <P>SOLUTION: The power generation system has the power generation means 1 capable of supplying generated power to a power consumption section and changing and adjusting power generation output, and an operation control means for controlling the operation of the power generation means 1. The virtual power generation output value in time series is obtained by assuming that the power generation means is allowed to perform following operation so that power corresponding to the real power load value in time series at the power consumption section is outputted. The virtual power generation output value in time series is managed as past power load data while the virtual power generation output value in time series is divided in the order of time lapse and for each unit period.
