SEMICONDUCTOR MEMORY, MEMORY SYSTEM, AND MEMORY SYSTEM OPERATING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute random access without imposing load to a system and improve data transfer rate for random access in a semiconductor memory system having a plurality of banks. SOLUTION: The memory system comprises the semiconductor memory having a plurality of banks and a controller for accessing to the semiconductor memory. The number of banks is larger than the number of banks which are accessed simultaneously. The semiconductor memory activates a busy signal until accessing under operation is finished when receiving the access command to the same bank which is accessed, and the controller stops outputting the next access command while receiving the activated busy signal. The controller decides if the next access command should be outputted to the semiconductor memory or not by receiving the busy signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
