PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross shaft joint which can reduce a space for mounting a sensor unit including a displacement sensor. SOLUTION: The cross shaft joint comprising a sensor unit 6a including a displacement sensor 7a comprises grease injection holes 8 provided on respective bearing cups 5, recesses 10 provided on the end faces 2b of the respective journal portions 2 of a spider 3, covers 13, and plugs 12 which have a base 14 for closing the opening of the cover 13 and have the displacement sensor 7a arranged therein. The base 14 of the plug 12 is fixed to the inside wall of the recess 10. The cover 13 is inserted into the hole 8 so as to have a clearance 8b. The clearance 8b is closed with a sealing member 15, and also the displacement sensor 7a is arranged so as to measure the displacement from the inside wall of the hole 8. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
