The arrangement has a distance sensor (1), and a control unit that controls the movement of a motor so as to move rotatable parts of a vehicle. The distance sensor is attached to a convertible roof or to a rear top of the vehicle, where the distance sensor consists of an ultrasound sensor. The distance sensor and the control unit are connected with each other in an information and data conductive manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling the movement of rotatable vehicle parts.
