<p>Connecting means for connecting parts of a ball or like hitting appliance, comprises two parts 18A, 18B to be connected having ends 20, the two ends 20 defining a gap 19 therebetween; tube means 22 having a bore means 23A, 23B therein to receive the ends 20 of the parts 18A, 18B to be connected while bridging the gap 19 between them and means for adhering the tube means 22 to the two parts 18a, 18B to be connected.
