<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas with which a hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) in exhaust gas can be efficiently removed and which has resistance to sulfur poisoning and to provide an oxidation catalyst-containing catalytic structure for cleaning exhaust gas and a method for cleaning exhaust gas by using the catalytic structure. <P>SOLUTION: The oxidation catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas contains a carrier consisting of titania (A) and zeolite (B), and a noble metal (C) deposited on the carrier. The zeolite (B) contains ZSM-5 type zeolite (B1) and β-type zeolite (B2) at the least. The zeolite (B) content is 35-50 wt.% of the whole catalyst. The catalytic structure for cleaning exhaust gas is obtained by depositing this oxidation catalyst on a support. The method for cleaning exhaust gas comprises a step of bringing the exhaust gas discharged from an internal-combustion engine into contact with this catalytic structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
