<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target detection apparatus and a target detection method capable of widening the angle of a target detection region. <P>SOLUTION: When targets are to be detected by transmitting signal waves and receiving reflected waves of the transmitted signal waves, targets present in a first detection region are detected when the strength of the signal waves is equal to a first threshold value or greater, and targets present in a second detection region wider than the first detection region and including the first detection region are detected when the strength of the signal waves is equal to a second threshold value or greater which is lesser than the first threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
