PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration absorbing device using a magnetic force generating means for constraining or releasing a diaphragm forming part of a partition wall of a second sub-liquid chamber depending on the frequency of input vibration, the diaphragm having a lighter weight and higher durability. SOLUTION: In the vibration absorbing device 10, a magnetic region attractive with magnetic force is formed on the center side along the facial direction of a second diaphragm 98 forming part of the partition wall of the second sub liquid chamber 106 and a non-magnetic elastic region is formed on the outer periphery side of the magnetic region. Thus, in the vibration absorbing device 10, when an electromagnet 108 as the magnetic force generating means operates electromagnetic attractive force on the magnetic region of the second diaphragm 98 during the input of shaking vibration, the deformation of the second diaphragm 98 in the expanding direction is constrained. When the electromagnet 108 discontinues to operate the electromagnetic attractive force on the magnetic region of the second diaphragm 98 during input of idling vibration, the second diaphragm 98 is separated from a core 110 so as to be deformable along the expanding direction.
