<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably fix the tip part of a flexible printed wiring board to a male housing with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: In this connector for the flexible printed wiring board 1 to relay and connect the flexible printed wiring board to a cable by engagement of a male housing 3 to which the flexible printed wiring board 1 is fixed and a female housing 8 to which the cable 6 is fixed, a projecting engagement part composed of a projecting part 2a and a flexibly deformable part 2b is formed on the side of a reinforcement plate 2 mounted to the tip part of the flexible printed wiring board 1, the tip part of the flexible printed wiring board 1 is inserted in the male housing with the projecting part 2a pushed in by compressed deformation of the flexibly deformable part 2b, and when the projecting part 2a pushed in by the compressed deformation of the flexibly deformable part 2b reaches a recessed part 3a formed on the inner wall of the male housing 3, the projecting part 2a is made to get engaged with the recessed part 3a by releasing the compressed deformation of the flexibly deformable part 2b to fix the tip part of the flexible printed wiring board. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
