PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dialing operation device of compact configuration with less constraint on design. SOLUTION: The dialing operation device comprises a dial operation 10, a displacement conversion means 100 which converts the rotational angle displacement of the dial operation 10 in both positive/negative directions that occurs at rotational operation of the dial operation 10 into a linear reciprocating displacement on a linear track in the plane orthogonal to the rotational axis of the dial operation 10, and a displacement detection outputting means 70 which detects the converted linear reciprocating displacement and, based on the detection result, outputs rotational angle position information of the dial operation 10.
