PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly perform insertion installation work without requiring for making an insertion opening formed at an inner panel to a large size.

SOLUTION: In the installation structure for the seat belt retractor in which the seat belt retractor is inserted and installed in a space S between an outer panel and the retractor by passing the retractor from an indoor side to an outdoor side via the insertion opening 11 formed at the inner panel 1 of the vehicle, a support plate 12 for supporting the lower end 311 of a body 3 of the seat belt retractor and capable of turning and moving the body 3 from the indoor side to the outdoor side via the insertion opening 11 while making the support point 121 as a center so as to draw a circular track is provided on the indoor side surface of the opening lower edge 15 of the insertion opening 11.
