PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone system for collective housing which saves the number of lines, by reducing the number of wirings of communication paths between each of housing adaptors and a living-room master set by switching communication paths using the housing adaptor. SOLUTION: The system is provided with a plurality of collective entrance units 1 to be installed at the entrance of a collective housing; a plurality of living-room master units 3 for establishing calls through the plurality of housing adaptors 7; a management office master unit 5; and a controller 2. The controller is provided with channel-selecting sections 24, 25 for selecting a call channel, in response to a call from any one of the collective entrance sets and the management office master unit. The living-room master set is provided with a living-room master set CPU 41 for generating a channel switching signal to be transmitted to the housing adaptor, based on the channel selecting signal from the controller. The housing adaptor is provided with switching sections SW1, SW2 for switching the collective entrance unit or the management office master set and the living-room master unit to a selected call channel, when receiving the channel switching signal, and forming a call path between the collective entrance unit or the management office master set and the sitting-room master set.
