The actuator has a hollow cylinder (1) in which a piston (2) is slidingly arranged, where the piston slides with an outer side (2.1) along an inner side (1.1) of the hollow cylinder. A piston rod (3) is connected with the piston, and is driven from the hollow cylinder by moving the piston in the hollow cylinder. The hollow cylinder is provided with a projection (5) at the inner side, where the piston and the piston rod are engaged at the projection during driving such that the projection, the piston and the piston rod are deformed plastically and elastically. An independent claim is also included for a piston rod.
