PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a natural-circulation-type boiling water reactor capable of accommodating even a channel bulkhead in a pool without enlarging the footprint of the pool. SOLUTION: The natural-circulating-type boiling water reactor 1 includes a reactor pressure vessel 6 in which a coolant can be stored, a reactor core 7 provided in the vessel for heating the coolant to generate steam, and a chimney 11 provided above the reactor core 7 in the vessel 6 for accelerating a natural circulation of the coolant.
