PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for preventing battery exhaustion which prevents an engine starting failure (battery exhaustion) of a vehicle having an engine automatic stop and start function caused by an engine stall state left for a long time. SOLUTION: The device for preventing battery exhaustion which is installed in a vehicle having an engine automatic stop and start function is provided with a means for determining whether an informing condition for informing the engine stall state to a user is satisfied or not, and a means for informing the engine stall state to the user when the determination that the informing condition is satisfied is performed.
