PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device constituted so as to reduce a load of a motor of a main body during the use of optional cassettes and suppress waste power consumption. SOLUTION: In this image forming device 1, each of the optional cassettes 30 is provided with a recording paper storing part 38, a pickup roller 31 for delivering recoding paper 90 from the recording paper storing part 38 to a recording paper carrying path 35 in the optional cassette 30, a feed roller 32 for relaying and carrying the recording paper 90 along the recording paper carrying path 35 from the upstream side to the downstream side, and a motor 70. The pickup roller 31 is driven by and connected to the motor 70 provided in the optional cassette 30 at the same stage as that where the optional cassette 30 provided with the pickup roller 31 is provided, and the feed roller 32 is driven by and connected to the motor 70 provided in the optional cassette 30 fitted to a lower stage of the optional cassette 30 provided with the feed roller 32.
