PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting apparatus capable of surely transporting a seedling mat downward (downstream side) by a seedling transporting belt while firmly pressing the seedling mat on a seedling table to prevent the slip-down of the mat. SOLUTION: The seedling table 16 is provided, on the lower part of the table, with seedling mat thrusting members 111, 111..., a lateral shaft 113 supporting the base parts of the seedling mat thrusting members 111, 111..., and a swinging arm 41 fixed to the lateral shaft 113 and rotating interlocked with the motion of the seedling transporting belt 92. A seedling dangling prevention plate 54 is fixed in lateral direction to a seedling mat press 46, and the seedling mat thrusting members 111, 111... are placed at the downstream side relative to the seedling dangling prevention plate 54.
